A 60 minute massage is ideal if your body is in good shape, or if you are a first timer trying out massage or a new therapist.
If you have something specific that you want to focus on, for example, your back has been bothering you for days/weeks/months/years, then request to only have your back and surrounding muscles worked on. This allows your massage therapist to focus on working on your back appropriately as well as any other areas that may be contributing to the pain.
If you want a full body massage with focus on a certain area, please upgrade to a 90 or 120 minute massage.
90 minute massages are better for a full body massage. They allow me to focus on specific areas of concern as well as touch on everything else.
And, if you want to focus on a certain area this is a great amount of time to get that done too. If an area hurts, it’s usually not just that area being affected but also the surrounding areas. 90 minutes allows for all those other areas to get addressed too. This is great for people who are recovering from injuries, surgeries, using massage as an extension of their physical therapy sessions and so forth.
120 minute massages are prefect for people who have multiple problems to address or who feel that they need more time to get their muscles to unwind.
This amount of time allows for much more in depth attention to your issues that cause your pain. It is not a relaxation only massage. This is therapeutic massage with some relaxation tied in. Most of the time this will be a full body massage with focus on problem areas, unless your body needs more focus still.
120 minute massages are NOT for prenatal clients, relaxation only, or clients that have difficulty laying still for extended periods. If you are one of these clients, please feel free to book a shorter session.
